East African Group, since started production of Soaps and Detergents during 1995, has emerged as the single largest player in this business segment in the country. Equal emphasis is given to meet level play for all three product segments- Laundry Soaps, Detergent Powder and dry mix Detergent Cake, powder and spry detergent.

            

Laundry Soaps

This factory is equipped with two lines having an installed capacity of 120 tons each line per day. Though the industry survives through extreme unhealthy competitive environments; it maintains a regular production schedule to provide different grades of laundry soaps to keep pace with the demand structure.

                       

Detergent powder plant

Super Blue Fast, the brand produced by EAG has been synonymous with detergent powder from the time it was introduced in Ethiopia. The plant exhausts its installed capacity of 500 tons/month comfortably.
As a policy the product is priced low to reach all sections of the user segment. This objective is achieved as the product is widely accepted and used among the suburban & rural markets.



Detergent Cake

Detergent Soap division, an extension of the detergent powder plant has a production capacity of 500 tons per month. This capacity is fully utilized.

As per the strategic decisions of the group and as part of consolidation and expansion plans, the group has decided to introduce detergent powder in the premium brands to penetrate in to the multinationals product segment.
Accordingly a High Tech plant with a production capacity of 1000 tons/month has been commissioned operational.
