A modern fully automatic biscuit factory was commissioned in the industrial park during 1998. With its two production lines it can produce above 600 tons of biscuit products per month. Besides the wide range of biscuits produced for the domestic markets, the factory has been a major producer and supplier of high energy biscuits for the military for use in the forward areas.

Pressed by the need to feed the multitude of humanity disposed of by frequent famine, war and other calamities, East African Group introduced Unimix a high nutritive, pre cooked diet supplementary.Unimix reaches the needy through the NGO’s operating in this country to all the affected areas.

The factory with its fully automatic production facilities has an installed capacity of 120 tons/day. Owing to the high quality standards and efficiency in keeping up to the delivery schedules East African Group has reserved a respectable place among all the NGO’s and other aid agencies as a major supplier of this blended food.
Unimix is not only supplied to the most needy Ethiopian fraternity but also is dispatched to Sudan regularly, mostly air lifted, for those hundreds of thousands of humanity displaced by regional wars. Unimix is also an ideal food for those suffering from malnutrition, old aged, pregnant women and school children.
The factory is scheduled to go through further automation and modernization as we envisage regular demand for Unimix on sustainable basis.

                                  


This factory has an installed capacity to produce 30 tons of Macaroni in a day. The wheat flour produced in the flour mill is, therefore, consumed for this purpose by giving value addition.
